Yet again, an entire new trail system has been added to the Southern California Master Map file available for free at the Offroading Home web site: The Alexander Hills Offroad Riding Area.
As you may know, the California Master Map recently needed to be split in two in order to enable the addition of new trail systems without over-loading the file size. Fifty-nine new GPS locations for mines and other waypoints have been added to the Alexander Hills Trail. [A free Google Earth file of this route is available at: Offroading Home: Southern California Master Map.]
Additionally, thirty-one new trail segments (both ride and hike) have been added to make an entire riding area completely mapped for rides.
The format of how trails are presented has been changed in order to accommodate this huge increase in the numbers of trails and waypoints being included in a composite map. All of the new waypoints for this area, mostly mines, have popups describing them, viewable by clicking on their icons.
The new trail system is also controlled by one folder, should you want to turn it off for clarity's sake. However, every individual trail segment can be highlighted by hovering over it with your cursor. That individual segment will turn a lighter color and if you click it a pop-up description will tell you its length as well as minimum and maximum altitudes.
This extensive new trail system addition will better enable you to plan your next trip and get the most out of your riding time. And, if you'll notice, the riding area is easily accessible from southern Nevada cities.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I will, of course, be moderating all comments to make sure (a) they conform to the standards of good taste set forth by Offroading Home; and (b) nope that's pretty much it.
